Floor Selection and Details
Double Pave Monolithic Permeable Floors
Double Pave is a monolithic and permeable resin stone coating system with a perfect design. It is extremely easy to apply. Thanks to the compatibility of the system sections with each other, it provides an extremely strong bond compared to permeable asphalt and permeable concrete materials of the same thickness. If desired, pattern application can be made with laths after the first layer has dried. Thus, decorativeness and permeability can be provided at the same time. The resins used in Double Pave application are PU-based semi-flexible resins. Thanks to the special Isopave Doublemax resin, you can reach both flexible and highly abrasion resistant landscape solutions.
Application on Isocell (Permeable Ground)
For the Isopave Stone Carpet Systems permeable stone carpet application (Isocell) application, Isocell cells selected according to the purpose of use are laid on the appropriately prepared sub-layer. The cells that increase the carrying capacity are filled with 4-15 mm diameter gravel. The permeable resin bound paving (stone carpet) floor to be applied on it can vary between 15 mm and 40 mm depending on the purpose of use, vehicle load and water drainage. This system provides a water-permeable design by preventing water accumulation on the surface. Isocell application ensures rapid drainage of water and thus, thanks to the permeable resin bound paving, water accumulation does not occur on the surface and the ground adapts to all weather conditions. In addition, it offers an ideal solution especially for areas with heavy vehicle traffic with its safe and non-slip structure. This application can only be carried out by professional teams because it requires correct ground preparation and material selection.
Stone Carpet (Impermeable Floor) Application
Isopave® Stone Carpet Systems are one of the most preferred application types for use on concrete surfaces. Correct surface preparation before application is extremely important for adhesion and long-lasting results. Checking the concrete quality is the first step to take before moving on to the application phase. If there are cracks on the ground, they should be opened in a V shape and repaired with epoxy repair mortar. If there are areas on the surface that require serious repair, you can strengthen the ground strength with the application of Isomesh mesh with carrier properties.
Especially in continental climates, removing the cement grout layer on the concrete surface is critical for the health and longevity of the stone carpet (resin bound paving). The weak grout on the concrete exposed to the effects of freezing and thawing can deform over time, which leads to a loss of adhesion between the resin bound paving and the concrete. Therefore, using diamond-tipped polishing machines to wear away the grout on the surface and see the aggregate surface is extremely important for a long-lasting application. After the polishing process, a primer should be applied and after waiting for the primer to dry, the Isopave® Stone Carpet application should be started.

Interlocking Parquet and Screed Applications
Isopave® Stone Carpet Systems can be applied on screed floors. Screed floors require correct application preparation as they are less durable than concrete floors. In temperate climates, where temperature differences are low and frost events do not occur, Isopave® Stone Carpet application on screed floors can only be done with Isomesh mesh reinforcement underneath. However, in such areas, the cement ratio of the screed must be high (at least >400 dose).
In order for the surface to be strong and durable, primers with strong penetration capacity should be preferred. Primer application can be done in two layers. After the primer has dried, in continental climates, it is recommended to use Ultratex reinforcing grit before application. This increases the strength of the screed and ensures a stronger bond between the stone carpet and the floor. It is also recommended that the thickness of the application be at least 15 mm. This thickness helps the resin bound paving to maintain its longevity and aesthetic appearance.
In interlocking parquet applications, the thickness should be 20 mm and Ultratex Grit must be used on the floor. In addition, before applying the interlocking parquet floor, the existing parquet should have been laid at least 1 year ago or the floor settling process should be completed.

Ceramic Surfaces and Tile Applications
Isopave® Stone Carpet Systems can be applied on tile, ceramic, interlocking paving stone floors. The existing floor to be applied should not have any broken, cracked or moving parts. This is a critical factor for the application to be healthy and long-lasting. If there are moving areas on the floor, these areas should be fixed. In addition, if there are ceramic, tile or interlocking paving stones that have moved, they should be re-glued or reinforced to a degree that will not move underneath.
If the ceramic surface is glazed or glossy, it should be roughened with a palm spiral with a concrete grinding tip. This increases the bonding strength and ensures the durability of the application. Ultratex Grit should not be used during the primer application; instead, Isopave® resin bound paving should be applied after the ground strength is fully achieved.
For applications on tile and ceramic surfaces, the thickness should be 15 mm. For interlocking parquet applications, the thickness should be 20 mm and Ultratex Grit should be used on the floor. In addition, before applying on the interlocking parquet floor, the existing parquet should have been laid at least 1 year ago and the settling process should be completed.

Tree Bottom Permeable Ground Applications
Tree base resin stone coating is a special application made with a trowel, consisting of a mixture of resin and aggregate, applied in a way that covers the soil at the base of the trees and sometimes the plant roots that come to the surface. Thanks to this application, the appearance of garbage and grass accumulated at the base of the trees and the muddy structure are eliminated, and an aesthetic and premium floor appearance is obtained.
In tree base applications, the aggregate size is selected larger than other ground coverings. This creates gaps between the stones, allowing the natural flow of water and air, and helps the soil breathe. Another difference is the application thickness. The vegetable soil at the base of the tree is excavated at a depth of 15-20 cm and gravel consisting of 15-30 mm aggregates with a thickness of 10-15 cm is laid on the ground and compacted. When applying Resinous Isopave® stone carpet on it, it is recommended that the thickness be at least 40 mm, but the ideal thickness is around 5-8 cm.
Resin is not applied to an area of 10 cm around the tree trunk. The process is completed by placing free aggregate in this area, so that the growth of the tree is not hindered.

ISOVERT vertical resin powder is an ideal product for vertical surfaces, especially recommended for use in skirtings, stair risers and wall decorations resin bound paving coverings.
It should be noted that the surface to be applied must be clean and dry. Single component polyurethane based Elastan® 120/S resin is used for application. In preparing the resin mixture, 1 measure of resin is poured into a large container with a volumetrically measurable container. Thickener powder is added to another container of the same volume and size. This amount of powder may vary between 1.5-2 measures depending on the air temperature. After adding the first 1.5 measures, when the consistency becomes pasty, the remaining powder is added little by little.
The prepared resin mixture should be applied to the surface as a thin layer. The remaining conditioned resin is taken as 5.5-6% of the stone weight and mixed homogeneously with the stone. The mixture is applied to the surface with the help of a spatula before the primer underneath dries. The process is completed by applying it from bottom to top. This technique provides both a visually aesthetic appearance and creates a long-lasting coating.
