Double Pave Monolithic Permeable Floors
What is Isopave® Double Pave Stone Carpet Floor Covering?
Isopave® Double Pave Stone Carpet Floor Covering is a durable and permeable flooring solution. Isopave® Double Pave stone carpet flooring solution is an innovative stone carpet flooring system with a completely permeable structure. Thanks to its special design that prevents water accumulation, it drains rainwater quickly, thus providing comfortable and safe use in outdoor areas. This system, created by combining natural stones with special resin, is both an aesthetic and long-lasting flooring solution. Double Pave, which makes a difference among stone carpet flooring systems, stands out with its durability and low maintenance requirement. The floor is easy to clean, its surface is non-slip and resistant to abrasion. You can take a look at the details to get more information about this system, which is ideal for outdoor areas.
Considering the new layers to be made by using a digger or hand, the weak vegetal soil should be excavated approximately 20 cm and removed from the application area. The existing raw ground should be compacted by using a vibratory roller or a compactor. After the compaction process is completed, the clay-free 0-40 mm diameter aggregate plantmix material obtained from the quarry is moistened and compacted as 15 cm. The compaction process should be done in 3 stages with 5 cm layers. In each 5 cm layer, the plantmix material should be laid on the ground while moist, and care should be taken not to use too much water and make it muddy during the process. The ideal measure is that water should not be observed on the surface during the process with the roller or compactor. If excessive watering is observed, the water should be waited for draining and then the compaction process should be continued. After the process, the filling layer should be allowed to dry by waiting 2-3 days. After the filling process is completed, Isotex SF 27 geotextile felt is laid. The felts should be laid by overlapping each other by 10-12 cm. If necessary, Isotex can be fixed to the ground by dipping U-shaped wires into the ground. Afterwards, Isogrid reinforcement reinforcement should be laid neatly on the prepared ground and the undulations should be tightened and corrected. Isogrid reinforcement should be laid side by side without leaving any gaps and the rolls should be overlapped by at least 10 cm on the edges. The fixing process should be done to the ground with U or L-shaped wires at certain intervals along the overlapping of the laid material. Afterwards, the lower layer resin coating application is made with Elastane 119 resin mixed with 4-7 mm diameter aggregates. It is important not to use aggregates larger than 7 mm. It should be evaluated that the amount of resin will increase when using aggregates smaller than 3-4 mm. In terms of economic application, the use of 4-7 mm diameter aggregates used in concrete, which can be easily found in every warehouse, can be preferred as the lower layer layer aggregate. The product should be dry and dust-free. Since possible aggregates will be dusty, the aggregates placed in the mixer should be blown with a small air blower before adding resin to minimize dust. If the amount of material finer than 3 mm is high in the mixture, the aggregates should be passed through a 3 mm sieve to ensure the use of the upper material. After a homogeneous mixing process, stones mixed with resin at a rate of 5.5% of the stone weight are laid on the ground. When the resin stones are compressed with a trowel, a thickness of 20 mm should be obtained. Depending on the air temperature, Isogrid application can be started after an average of 1 day. Isopave application is started after the laying of the Isogrid reinforcement reinforcement. If there is a pattern application, it should be done at this stage. Isopave stone carpet coating prepared with semi-flexible superior PU-based resins is applied in a thickness of 15 mm required for pedestrian traffic and the process is completed. In the first days, a small amount of glass powder can be sprinkled without allowing the material to dry for possible non-slip properties.
