Interlocking Parquet and Stone Carpet Floor Covering on Alum
Is it possible to apply stone carpet flooring on interlocking parquet and screed?
Yes, stone carpet flooring systems are made on interlocking parquet and screed surfaces and can be applied safely. Isopave® stone carpet solutions create a strong floor covering with a special resin and natural stone mixture. In applications on screed, it is important that the surface is solid and smooth, so that a long-lasting and aesthetic result is achieved. With its durable, water-permeable and easy-to-clean structure, stone carpet flooring is an ideal choice for both interior and exterior spaces. You can contact us for more information.
The first rule of application on an existing screed or interlocking stone is surface cleaning. Excess stones and screed chips on the surface must be cleaned. If application will be made on screed, it is recommended to strengthen the screed surface with 300-350 gr. Isoprime PU solvent primer per m2. If there are cracks in the screed, intensive use of Isoprime PU is recommended in those areas. Ultratex Grid application should be made by overlapping 10 cm from the joints. Isopave thickness should be 15 mm for pedestrian traffic and the application should be compacted by pressing with a trowel. A fast and solid surface can be provided in large areas by using a light finishing machine. In the first days, glass powder can be sprinkled on the surface to increase the non-slip effect due to wetting.
